Entrance fees, lunches, drinks and tips are usually separate — budget about €12–15 per day for these extras. Single travellers pay a supplement (roughly €235–490 depending on the tour).
04. The desert adds up — or saves
The Sahara is where costs vary most. A night in a simple desert camp is affordable, but luxury camps with private bathrooms, real beds and candlelit dinners push the price toward €150–300 per night. Decide what the desert is worth to you and book accordingly.

High season (March–May, October) costs 40–60% more for accommodation. Shoulder season (September, November) is 20–30% cheaper, and low season (January–February, July–August) offers the best deals — up to 50% off, with the Sahara best avoided mid-summer.
